My MAC Palettes ♥

Hi Y'all!!  I've been meaning to do a post on these for a while.  I was asked what's in my MAC Palettes and how I organized them.  So far I own 5 palettes. I use four of them and one I keep empty for traveling so when I go somewhere I pop in my "Fav 15"....
I labeled the fronts and backs of the palettes with my DYMO Label Maker! (I'm an office supply junkie too)

Ok, I kinda messed up with the names with this palette when I was depotting so there are two Haux's & Patina's oppss.... If you can identify my little mistake let me know.

I ordered the palettes during MAC SUMO sale a few months back, and I depotted using EnKore's  no heat tutorial on YouTube. I tried using the heat method but it was kinda stinky and I live with my parents and I can't be all up in my room inhaling melted plastic...  I'm not going to do a tutorial because there are like a million out there but here are some pics of the process...  Let's just say that I haven't bought a MAC e/s in a pot since I did it! I'm only buying pans now. Not a fan of mass depotting.....

The whole point is to get the glue off! 91% rubbing alcohol or higher and some Q-tips will do the trick!

Sorry for the craptastic pic! It's supposed to show how I salvaged the names of the stickers and stuck them to the magnets it's really hard to see because the label is tiny.

To label the palettes I used a YT MAC Palette Labeling Tutorial using Excel! Super easy! After I was done. I used my paper cutter (I can't cut paper in a straight line *fail* and stuck them on with double sided tape. If anyone would like my file shoot me an email and I'll give it to you & it's already formatted.

So those are my babies!!!  It's so much easier with them in the palettes!!!!!  I had a divider in my drawer and they were all in there looking a hott mess.

No Need to be ASHY!!!

Hi Y'all!!!  It's seriously fall here in CT :(....  Which means for me it's time to moisturize with a heavier body & face lotion.  I've mentioned in the past that my Holy Grail moisturizer is Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Skin Therapy Lotion with Aloe mixed with a little bit of Creamy Baby Oil.  I was running low and went to Wal-Mart to pick up some more and they didn't have any!! They probably did but they are renovating Wal-Mart here and they are moving everything around.  It's crazy, I dropped off an RX and went back to pick it up a few hours later and the pharmacy was gone!!!  Ok, not gone but moved.  Since I couldn't find my Gold Bond I decided to try something new. Nivea Body Essentially Enriched, Daily Lotion for Very Dry, Rough Skin.  The bottle claims to "Dramatically Improve Skin Condition over time. With Sea Minerals, Vitamin E & Almond Oil.

Ingredients Water, Mineral Oil, C13-16 Isoparaffin, Glycerin,
Isopropyl Palmitate, Petrolatum, PEG-40 Sorbitan Perisostearate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil Sweet Almond*, Tocopheryl Acetate, Taurine, Sea Salt, Magnesium Sulfate, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Potassium Sorbate
(*Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil Sweet Almond 

I was pleasantly surprised!!!  The lotion is thick but still easy to pump and easy to rub onto my skin.  It does take a minute or so to absorb (probably because of the Almond Oil).  I usually shower at night and I don't need to reply in the morning or throughout the next day.  It doesn't really have a smell, I guess it smells like Nivea.....  I've noticed that my skin looks radiant & smoother!! I also like that I don't have to mix two products. I will buy this product again when I run out. It isn't to expensive either. I don't remember the exact price but it was in the range of $6-$8 for a 13.5oz bottle

Since I liked the body lotion so much I decided to try out the old school Nivea in the jar for my face which is drier during this time of the year.  I ran out of my MARK lotion and I'm trying not to order things until I move.

 

Ingrediants
• Water

• Mineral Oil: emollient

• Petrolatum: occlusive
• Glycerin: humectant
• Microcrystalline Wax: commonly used thickening agent
• Lanolin Alcohol: emollient, very closely resembles your skin's natural oils
• Paraffin: occlusive
• Panthenol: humectant
• Magnesium Sulfate
• Decyl Oleate: emollient
• Octyldodecanol: emulsifier with emollient properties
• Aluminum Stearates: emulsifier
• Fragrance
• Citric Acid: used to adjust the pH
• Magnesium Stearate: thickening agent
• Methylchloroisothiazolinone: preservative
• Methylisothiazolinone: preservative

Ok, this stuff is THICK!!! Like really thick kinda like when you forget to take out butter to let it soften before spreading it on something...  I find that using thin layers & applying a little at a time works best.

 It absorbs quickly but you may look a little greasy for a minute or two.

A little goes a long way!

It kinda smells, like Nivea (lol, I can't describe it.  It smells more Nivea like than the body lotion.

If you have oily skin, DO NOT PUT THIS ON YOUR FACE.  You will turn into a shiny greasy hot mess!  I find that my nose is a little oily so I don't put this on my nose.

I do feel like my skin looks a little more radiant without makeup.  I'm not sure if I would buy this again.  I definatley would not use it in the summer.

Although the Creme is really thick it's great to use on extra dry parts like, elbows, hands, feet, & knees.

Yes, I'm Still Moving!

Hi Y'all!! People keep asking me if I "still really want to move to ATL because it's like all flooded."
Sorry but I'm not going to let a big ass flood make me change my mind.  So yes y'all! I'm still leaving on Oct. 10th! I may have to get a canoe but I'm going.  Mother Nature is everywhere & shes' not stopping me!!!

Where Have I Been? Hair Porn & FOTD

Hi Y'all! I feel like I've been neglecting my DOLLS!!!!.  The last week or so have been super crazy.
  
Here's Why:

1.-I've been doing marketing,PR, and menu design for Maxwell's Sports-Bar Grill my friends new place during the day and on the weekend nights, Thurs.-Sat. I've been "keeping an eye on things" Thursday is the crazy night the college crowd is out on the prowl.....I've been "keeping an eye on the bar" meaning running around after drunk college kids and re-hanging pics on the wall and making sure there's toilet paper in the bathrooms, telling people that salt & pepper shakers and ketchup bottles aren't TOYS and making sure everyone is having a good time! Ok, so it's not as stressful as it sounds because I make I have a drink in my hand while I do it :) Since my friend owns the place I get very overly concerned; and I want everything to run smoothly when she isn't there and I go into organizational smooth running mode!

2.- Last week I got an email from my school stating that I've been DISMISSED! Yep, straight up kicked out. My school uses some retarded ass scale called SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress), and my summer term grades HAVE YET TO BE POSTED so it looked like I failed 3 courses......  So they kicked me out!!!!  De-registered me, and took away my finanical aid 3 days before the Fall Term began.....  I knew something was wrong so I bitched and fought like the only child brat that I can be and it turns out that when I withdrew from school in 2007 when I was really sick (I had an infection in my jawbone and nerve damage in my lip from having my wisdom teeth removed), the school mis-calculated my SAP, they also didn't change my Fall status back to "part-time" and it was all messed up, but it's fixed and I got back into all my classes, my tuition is paid and I got a really cute pink binder to motivate me :)  I thought I couldn't do math! Someone at SUNY Empire State College can't to do math either! My mathematical retardedness doesn't effect other peoples LIVES! Just messes up my bank account...

3.- I'm dangerously addicted to the game Wedding Dash on my laptop and Sally's Spa on my BB Storm... Thanks Diana!
Like I have time to be stressed out over some games!!! >_<  If you want these games don't buy them from the website for $19.99 take your behind to Target they have them for $9.99!!!  To download them on a Blackberry I think it's like $5 or something.....

4.- I got my hair did last Monday but my new FABULOUS Weavologist Ms. Anya! I really wanted to go back to straight hair but before I invest in ordering it from an Indian Remy Vendor, I figured I do a test run with some BSS Hair (Beauty Supply Store)... So I used two Packs of Outre Velvet crap or something (I only plan to wear this install for about a month until I leave for ATL! We decided to do my hair on Labor Day and we figured the at least the Asian Hood BSS would be open NOPE!!! They were doing nails and making food but not selling hair!!! So we ended up called the Beauty Supply in the Waterbury Mall and they were open!!!!!  On my way to the mall, I ran into my ex and he called like "why you creepin' at my mall"....  Mind you he caught me WEAVELESS, lol he didn't even notice.... So we get the goods, I got upset b/c she had no "quality" hair in length whore lengths like 18'-22", so I'm rocking 16" which looks like 18'' but I miss my dramatic 22'' but crack tickling' hair....... So I go to pay and to my DEBIT CARD IS MISSING LIKE GONE!!!!!  I didn't have any credit cards b/c they are in my freezer hidden in a block of ice. I'd usually like flip out and call the cops and report it stolen but I needed to get my hair did that day!! So I called up the ex and told him the situation and he rescued me so I could buy my hair :) So without here's my new look!!! I'm gonna show y'all a before pic!!!!  My hair is growing like fire since I've been wearing full weaves for a year.... So here's some hair porn for y'all......

Hi y'all!!!  I just wanted to take a moment out and BRAG about the banner queen Ms. Jaimie!!!!  Not only can she kill it with a makeup brush.

She's good y'all!!!  I thought that I was hot stuff when I conquered the "smokey eye"......

So with the economy being the way that it is I was like Jaimie!!!  This is a total side hustle for you!!!!  You just have to get the word out. That's where I come in because I'm a Marketing/Public Relations person!!! So I would like to formally introduce y'all too.......

So I decided to stop being a hermit and go out Saturday night! I was kinda bored and playing in my makeup so I decided since I was all madeup, I should go out!  I went to Maxwell's (the sports bar-grill that I'm doing PR & Marking for).  Problem was no one was around so I went down alone and ended up seeing people that I knew, thank GOD!!  I didn't want to be "lonely girl at  the bar"....

After the "virtual" party I decided to give their skincare line a shot since the Calming Effect Cleanser samples that I received in previous pretty pink boxes Worked a "miracle" on my heat annoying heat rash that I had on my face.. I ordered $25 skincare items and received the Calm Yourself Mask for FREE!!!

  Calming Effect Comforting Milk Cleanser- 6.7oz  $7

 A gentle soap free cleanser that removes makeup and dirt while comforting and replenishing skins moisture. "Super Ingredients" include oat & banana.

For Goodness Face Antioxidant Skin Moisturizer- 1.7 Fl oz $15

A feel good mask that hydrates and rejuvenates parched, tired looking skin. Contains green tea  cucumber extracts, lemon, and orange extracts.

The bottle says to use 2-3 times a week, but I FAIL! I always forget to use it... Maybe I should schedule a reminder on my Blackberry :)


The MARK site also has a skincare quiz that you can take to see which products would be best for you and it was 100% accurate for me. I was wary about the the low prices of the items but figured to give them a try. I'm so glad I did.  I love this line.  I would defiantly purchase again.

None of the products irritated my sensitive skin 

Calming Effect Milk Cleanser is gentle on the skin. Has a nice "clean/fresh" light smell.

 For Goodness Face Antioxidant Skin Moisturizer - has a pleasant smell it contains SPF 30 and you can smell the SPF, doesn't bother me, makes me feel summery & beachy. 

CONS

Calming Effect Milk Cleanser -doesn't clean up my globs of waterproof mascara & eye liner, but it's not a big deal. I use my Target Brand Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover (which is the same ingredient wise as Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup remover.

For Goodness Face Antioxidant Skin Moisturizer - Jar is light and the perfect amount comes out when pressed but when I got down to the last pump I didn't know!!!  EMERGENCY 911!!! There's no way to know when your running low, even if you open it.. Maybe if you take out the inner middle plastic part and judge it by it's "weight".....   I know now that using it twice daily will last me about 2 months.          
Calm Yourself Hydrating Mask- I forget to use it so that's my fault :)
